DINING REVIEW: TAP42 (BOCA RATON, FL)
Tap42 has six locations throughout South Florida: Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables, Boca Raton, Midtown Miami, Aventura, and Doral.
MONDAYS’ SPECIAL: PROHIBITION BURGER ($7.75 + a beverage)
On Mondays, we hit up the Boca Raton location for their Prohibition burger night, available between 4 PM and 11 PM. Although we have previously tried their veggie burgers during lent (and, for veggie burgers, they were not bad at all!), we typically get their amazing Prohibition burgers. Regularly priced at $15.50, the Mondays’ special offers them at half price, so long you also order a beverage.

As per their menu, Prohibition Burgers include “Tap 42 Burger Blend • White Cheddar • Applewood Bacon • LTO • Secret Sauce • Dijonnaise.” The burgers are huge, juicy, and delicious. The “secret sauce,” combined with the fresh ingredients and crispy bacon, makes for an amazing burger. The entrée comes with fries, although you may get a different side with an upcharge of $1. We have tried the roasted Brussel sprouts (with maple, mustard, and thyme), and the veggie fried rice (brown rice with mixed vegetables: peas, edamame, scallions, and broccoli), and both were very good. The veggie fried rice was my personal favorite due to its unique flavor: sweet, salty, smoky, with a hint of teriyaki. That’s the only brown rice that a Phat Phuc have ever liked.
To score this deal, any beverage purchase is required, whether alcoholic or not. We should note that Tap42 runs a daily happy hour from 4 PM to 7 PM and then from 10 PM until close ($5 beer, $6 spirits and cocktails, $6 shots, $7 wine).
As their Prohibition burgers are huge and sides’ portions equally generous, each meal can easily be shared between two people or two meals.
TWO GARLIC & HERB MARINATED BREASTS ($17.50)

We have also tried Tap42’s “Two Garlic & Herb Marinated Breasts served with a Chopped Romaine Salad • Parmesan • Balsamic Glaze.” This chicken breast was extremely tender, covered in a citrus marinade, and topped with Parmesan and balsamic glaze. The chopped romaine salad was fresh and included parmesan cheese. The entrée was a generous portion that could be easily shared between two people or meals.
Note: This is our honest, unsolicited review. We were not commissioned to do it, and received nothing in exchange.
